My Screenwriter Services
Whether you have a completed screenplay, a treatment, a synopsis or just some wild idea in your head, I can help you take your story to the next level.
I can help by writing your screenplay, or I can help with screenplay editing services or consulting. If you have a book or novel I can also help you with an adaptation.
Whatever you, the great storyteller, decide to do, and no matter what stage your story is at, one thing I can highly recommend for you to do is to GET FEEDBACK. Feedback is crucial. It helps you understand how your story is coming across, how it's impacting the audience.
In business they say, "The customer is king." In film and screenwriting you can transmute this to "THE AUDIENCE IS KING" or "THE PRODUCER IS KING" or "THE SCRIPT READER IS KING." Their viewpoint, their needs and wants - that's the key. The story must please the audience and before that, the script reader and producer.
When you're writing, you can easily get blinded by your own limited point of view. The point is - don't. Rather, get another viewpoint, a professional viewpoint. Who can best give you that professional viewpoint? For me the best person is not just a friend or family member but a professional script reader who won't be afraid to give you script the honest truth about where your script stands.

Why should you make use of someone like me instead of doing it yourself?
Well, let me tell you a little story out of the pages of my own life. Screenwriting is not easy. Especially when you’re new to it. I learned this first-hand. You see, it took me around 10 years (!) to take my first story from a basic idea to a fully-completed, half-decent script. TEN YEARS! I lost track of how many drafts I churned out for my first story - the final draft was probably the 7th or 8th. My point being: screenwriting is not easy. And if you take the wrong approach, or make mistakes, it can take a DECADE to write one story. Or, even worse, the screenplay may never be completed. And this is such a pity! Because there are some amazing stories out there that could inspire, entertain and inform people all around the world. I'm certain that if I knew everything I know now about screenwriting when I first started, it would have saved me so much time.
Another point: screenwriting is a unique art form. Meaning each screenplay will differ according to individual expression, style, content and communication. But at the same time, it contains numerous rules – rules on structure, plot, characters, dialogue, screenplay format and more. Grasping these rules and applying them to your original story is not a walk in the park. You have to learn them and become expert at them.
William Goldman (one of the highest-paid screenwriters of the 20th century) writes that a screenplay is the vehicle to raise the money to make a movie. In other words, a screenplay is also a marketing tool directed at the target market of producers and people who can raise funds for a movie.
Bear all this in mind - that screenwriting is an art form and has specialized rules and is not just art but also a marketing and fundraising tool - and then you will begin to understand where the specialized services of a screenwriter come in.
An experienced screenwriter has the key knowledge and skills to create a screenplay which is not just pleasing to read but also follows the rules and formats and is marketable to the powers-that-be.
So, what can I do for you? I can read what you’ve done and provide you with simple but concrete recommendations that will not only get your project back on track but allow you to take it to completion. And help edit or revise it so that is has a much higher level of screenplay quality.
In other words, whether you’re:
I can help.
So why use a screenwriter like me? To ensure the completed script is as high-quality as possible, incorporating all the elements that producers are looking for. To give your script the best chance of selling and, one day, being made into a film. Or simply to save yourself a lot of time, effort and headaches. ;-)
To start with I offer a free, half-hour consultation where I’ll give you advice on what you need to do and how to solve the problems in your script. I’ll even tell you if I think the script is going to be hard to sell, and even if I don’t think it’s worth spending the time writing it at all (I’ll be as nice as I can, I promise).

- Don’t know how to end the story (or how to begin it),
- Or any of the million other problems that can come up while writing your masterpiece...
I can help.
